In the latter half of this year there has been a lot of fundraising done to help farmers and others who are badly affected by drought. The Mapleton Choir, through their October concerts, raised $2,500 to donate to Drought Angels who operate out of Chinchilla. The choir was depleted in numbers by nearly half due to illnesses and holidays so this is a very great gesture. Thanks to everyone who attended the two concerts. As there are several Montvillians in the choir I thought it would be nice to give the choir a shout out.
