Blackall Range Visual Artists are back again with another exhibition – about the destruction being caused to our planet. Artists have drawn, painted, collaged their thoughts, perceptions, fears. We know it’s time to do something more than just talk. But still it’s harder sometimes to know what to do. Change is never easy.
The opening night at St Mary’s Hall on Friday 25 September was well attended and several paintings were sold. It was busy! Lots of interesting discussions and the opportunity to meet the artists.
These events are great for lots of reasons – local artists displaying their talents, people meeting up with friends and neighbours, the chance to put a face to a name, spending time talking to someone you’ve seen around but not spoken to before, having a drink, putting the world to rights, supporting the local community.
So please do go along to St Mary’s Hall if you have a half hour spare. Take a friend. Have a coffee afterwards. Enjoy the wonderful community we live in. You might even find something you would quite like to have on your walls.
