As many will know, there was a consultation workshop held by the MVA at the end of March this year. It was well received – not just by those who attended but also by Council who felt that the process undertaken was a really useful one and one that can be replicated across the borough.

In case you still haven’t had a chance to read the report, it can be found here: https://montvillevillageassociation.org.au/montville-futures-workshop-final-report/

MVA and MCOC (Montville Chamber of Commerce) have met and agreed there are many things that crossover with businesses and residents. Two working groups are being set up:

• Major Infrastructure & Planning Issues (eg. NBN – fixed wireless problems; pump out; broader range of housing – eg. Small town house etc.) Max Standage will chair this working group and MCOC will have two members on the panel.

• Events & Community – to initiate events to re-activate Montville.

We would like to hear from people who are interested in getting involved in either of these working groups. We can only move forward with more hands on deck – and it would be a great way for you to meet new people, to have a say about things that are important to you and to be involved in the community.

If you are interested, please contact Louise on secretary.mva@gmail.com.

We are looking forward to hearing from you.
