On 17 March 2018 The Sunshine Coast Freemasons, Montville Lodge, celebrated 100 years of existence. In full regalia, and with Gordon Ferguson, the Range Piper, leading the way, a profound afternoon took place.
Montville Lodge was consecrated on 9 March 1918 as No. 1173 Scottish Constitution. Originally, meetings were held in the School of Arts which is now the Village Hall. In 1921, land was donated (valued at £35!) next to the Methodist Church and a Lodge building was built for the cost of £375.00. And Montville Lodge became No. 260 United Grand Lodge of Queensland.
