The Russell Family Park Bushcare Group is currently preparing to plant an area on the eastern side of the middle lagoon. This has been most gratefully facilitated by members of the new Blackall Range Lions Club who recently spent two hours spreading mulch. Prior to this, a few rows of Mat Rushes were planted below the path to stabilise the soil and prevent under-cutting of the path. Significant maintenance (weeding) is still required at the northern end of the Park.

We are always on the lookout for help and can be found in the Park (mostly weeding) from 7.30 – 9.00 am on the 1st & 3rd Sundays and 2nd & 4th Tuesdays of the month.  Contact for more information.

And there’s a cup of tea at the end to say thank you.
