If delicious food, great company and delightful fashion sounds like the perfect way to enjoy an Autumn afternoon in May, then ‘Tea on Flaxton’ is for you.

‘Tea on Flaxton’, which will be held on Thursday, 9 May, is the inaugural event of RangeCare Friends. Event Organiser and RangeCare Friends Chair, Nita C Lester, is excited about the event which she hopes will raise valuable funds for RangeCare.

“This event will not only launch our new group, RangeCare Friends, but will also showcase some of the wonderful fashion that is donated to RangeCare’s Op Shop, all while raising money for our wonderful community organisation, RangeCare,” said Nita. “People will be able to enjoy tasty treats and sip on a welcome glass of champagne in a delightful private garden setting.”

Nita said that all the fashion that is modelled on the day – and accessories – will be available for purchase. “Because the items are bargains from RangeCare’s Op Shop, there’ll be no need to feel guilty about these retail-therapy purchases,” she joked.

The event is very much a local affair with the venue being made available by Geoff and Ann Hocking who have opened their beautiful home and garden, ‘Tanderra House’, for the afternoon.

“We really support the work of RangeCare so if there is any way that we can support their efforts through fundraising activities such as Tea on Flaxton, we will,” said Ann.

The organising team have been working hard behind-the-scenes to prepare for the event.

“We hope that this will be the first of many events that are offered by RangeCare Friends for the benefit of Friends, RangeCare and the broader community,” said Nita. “Watch this space.”

‘Tea on Flaxton’ will be held at ‘Tanderra House’, 11 Flaxton Mill Road, Flaxton and will run from 1:30pm – 4:00pm on Thursday 9 May 2019.
